Somewhere on the net, I found a table of ground to air signals.

You'd use them in a military or rescue situation, and presumably lay out logs or dig trenches in the shape of each symbol.

Here are a few from the original table:

	aircraft badly damaged
	need compass and map
	am moving on this way
	do not understand
	need radio/lamp/battery

I designed a few alternative ground to air signals:

	watch out for the tree
	there's a spider crawling up your neck
	hey, nice hat
	your fly is unzipped
	need toilet paper
	I'd like a hot dog with onions, please
	I think Dick York did a better "Darrin" than Dick Sargent
