
This is the keyboard I use at work.
It's an original Microsoft Natural Keyboard, except I chopped off the offensive numeric keypad with a hacksaw. I think it forces the trackball (or mouse) to be located too far to the right to be used comfortably.
Inside the keyboard, the circuit traces are printed on a plastic sheet, which I did not cut, but folded back inside the keyboard so that electrically, nothing was modified.
I insulated the two layers of circuit traces with paper to prevent phantom key events.
I also sprayed black paint on some of the keys that aren't used too often to give it that "survived reentry" look.
